Playa Dominical

Can you imagine anything better than finishing a fabulous day while sitting on the perfect beach watching the ideal sunset just melt away into your favorite piece of water?  The only other things that need to be added to this picture perfect moment are a nice cold Margarita and friends to share the moment!  For years in the travels of Beachcomber Pete, I have tried to find the perfect beach and the perfect Margarita.  From the Caribbean to the beaches of Costa Rica, I have experienced some fantastic sunsets and have enjoyed many varieties of Margaritas.  As well as from the coast of Brazil to lakeside sunsets, there is no better time to have a Margarita than sunset.

With Beachcomber Pete Travels, I have started to put a collection of my favorite Margaritas together.  Not always having friends and neighbors with me on all of my adventures, I went and built my backyard oasis.  So like Marco Polo I needed a place to gather with friends when I returned from my travels to share my adventures and stories; to let friends share in new tastes from far off places. Thus Pete’s Place was born. Many sunsets have been experienced at Pete’s Place while sharing fantastic Margaritas and spending time with friends.

“Life is to Short to make a cheap Margarita”

One of the things I have found in the search for good Margaritas is to use natural ingredients when able, and good tequila. In staying away from mixes and using better tequila, I have found that mornings are a lot more forgiving and the heartburn non- existent.  So in the following recipes you will see that I have used no mixes and have tried many different types of Margaritas. When making these Margaritas and using the so called “good stuff”, you will still be ahead in the long run if you would have ordered your Margarita in a bar or restaurant.  Not to say you can’t have a good Margarita at your favorite Mexican Restaurant, but you will find that for a little more money the bartender will make a much better Margarita.
